Lyon County Commissioners are convening for their weekly action meeting Thursday morning.
Among the list of agenda items up for consideration will be three requests from Lyon County Emergency Communications Center Director Roxanne Van Gundy, including a request to pay Priority Dispatch $16,800 for the 2026 EMD/EFD license renewal, service, support and maintenance. Van Gundy will also seek approval to pay the Kansas 911 Coordinating Council the 2026 NG911 call handling bill totaling more than $73,800.
Both of these requests, if approved, will be paid for out of county 911 funds and not county taxpayer dollars. Van Gundy will also request approval to pay more than $170,000 for a Motorola SUAII service contract for the county’s 800 radio system for the coming year.
In separate matters, commissioners will consider a request from Facilities Manager Robbie Weiss to have Funk Electric furnish and install LED flat panels and bulbs inside the Lyon County Fairgrounds Anderson Building for just over $8,600.
Melissa Landis of Empower House Ministries will also provide an operations update to the commission.
Commissioners will also hold two non-elected personnel executive sessions for employee evaluations. The meeting will begin at 9 am inside the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
