The Area and Emporia Athlete of the Week awards were announced on Monday.
Coy Wilkinson of Hartford took home the Area Athlete of the Week award. The junior led the Jaguars to two victories. He had 31 points and five rebounds in a 78-74 win over Northern Heights and 24 points against Lebo in a 57-54 Friday victory.
Kensley Medrano earned the Emporia Athlete of the Week award. The senior has won all her matches in 2026. She picked up wins against Spring Hill and Salina Central in dual meets. She also took home gold at the Lady Vikes Invitational in Seaman on Saturday at 120 pounds.
