With construction still tentatively set to begin in a few months, Stormont Vail Health is starting to fill out the administrative team for its new clinic in west Emporia.
Stormont Vail has announced Kelsey Meyer will be the Emporia campus director. An Emporia native, Meyer started her new role last week. She brings several levels of experience to the job, including case management, quality management, emergency room nursing and forensic nursing. Meyer will oversee day-to-day operations and will work with both providers and local civic leaders as Stormont works to build its presence in and around Emporia after years operating the Cotton O’Neil Clinic inside the Newman Regional Health Medical Partners office space.
Meyer will be KVOE’s Newsmaker guest at 7:20 am Jan. 21.
An official date isn’t public yet, but construction is a few weeks away at West 18th and Road G and will likely last into part of 2028. Stormont says its $45 million facility feature new technology, state-of-the-art virtual and telemedicine equipment and other features designed to enhance the experience for patients and their families.
