Emporia boys wrestling finished 21st out of 40 plus schools at the Bobcat Classic in Basehor across Friday and Saturday.
Jose Vargas accounted for 17 of the teams 53 points. The heavyweight took fifth place. He was the lone Spartan to podium. 138 pounder Holden Timmons scored ten points while going 3-2. Garret LeBlanc (165) and Bryan Cubias (132) each went 2-2 and contributed seven points.
The Spartans host a tournament next Saturday starting at 9 a.m.
