The Lyon County League Tournament tips off Monday at White Auditorium in Emporia, launching a full week of postseason basketball featuring area teams in both the boys and girls brackets.
Olpe enters the tournament as the top overall seed on both the boys and girls sides, setting the standard for the rest of the field.
Opening-day action begins at 4 p.m. Monday with a girls contest between third-seeded Lebo and sixth-seeded Waverly. The second game of the afternoon shifts to the boys bracket, as third-seeded Hartford faces fifth-seeded Northern Heights. Game three brings more girls action, with second-seeded Marais des Cygnes Valley matching up against seventh-seeded Northern Heights. The nightcap features second-seeded Burlingame taking on seventh-seeded Waverly in boys hoops.
The tournament continues Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at White Auditorium.
