The Flint Hills Shootout schedule at White Auditorium has undergone major changes, with tournament officials announcing that the second and third rounds have been drastically restructured.
All games originally scheduled for Saturday have been eliminated, and championship games will now be played Friday night in Emporia.
Round two of the tournament will begin Thursday morning at 9 a.m., with girls and boys games alternating throughout the day. Action will continue into the evening, with the final game tipping off at 7:30 p.m. Friday will follow the same alternating format and will serve as the final day of competition for every team in the field.
Thursday’s schedule opens with a loser’s bracket matchup between Cair Paravel and West Franklin at 9 a.m. From there, teams will continue to battle through revised brackets as they look to advance to Friday night’s finals.
Complete brackets and updated game times have been released to reflect the new format as the Flint Hills Shootout adjusts its schedule for the remainder of the tournament.
