Weather conditions have prompted another delay in one community event.
The early plan for Wreaths Across America was to pick up the better than 2,300 wreaths laid at Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery this past Saturday, but snow and cold initially delayed the retirement event to this upcoming Saturday. The current forecast calls for temperatures around 20 degrees. Location Coordinator Scott Burenheide says better weather conditions are needed, so the wreath pickup will now be at noon Feb. 7.
People interested in volunteering to pick up wreaths can simply show up at Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery on Feb. 7.
Burenheide will have more information on KVOE’s Newsmaker segment at 7:20 am Wednesday.
