Friday temperatures won’t be bad by late January standards. Saturday morning will be quite cold.
Overnight lows will go to around -2 areawide. Northerly gusts up to 20 mph will push wind chills down to -10 to -15. With that in mind, the National Weather Service has issued a cold weather advisory for Chase and Greenwood counties from midnight to 10 am Saturday.
Temperatures will rebound somewhat after the subzero start as highs approach 20 degrees. Sunday will be much milder with highs in the low 40s, and high temperatures should be in the 40s for most of next week. Aside from a slight chance of light snow or flurries Friday, dry conditions are expected into at least late next week.
