Lebo led wire-to-wire over Hartford, 66-57, to claim the 105th Lyon County League Tournament crown at White Auditorium in Emporia on Saturday.
Lebo opened with a strong first quarter to take a 15-8 lead and continued to build momentum, extending the margin to 36-20 by halftime. The Wolves maintained steady play in the second half, leading 49-32 after three quarters and holding off a late Hartford rally to seal the victory.
Dennis Becker’s club went on a surprising run to earn the championship as the five seed.
Free throw shooting proved to be a key factor, as Lebo connected on 17 of 25 attempts from the line compared to Hartford’s 11 of 25. The championship marks the seventh in school history for the Wolves. Gerek Reber led Lebo with 22 points, while Hartford was paced by Landen Schultz with 24 points and Coy Wilkinson with 21 in the loss.
