CareArc has announced the 2026 recipient of the Arlene Eichorn Scholarship.
2022 Olpe High School graduate Macy Wecker was selected by the Friends of CareArc to receive the $1,000 scholarship. Wecker is a Dental Hygiene student at Flint Hills Technical College and Olpe native whose family’s roots go back more than six decades within the local community.
According to FHTC Dental Hygiene Instructor Rachel Webb, in a news release from CareArc Monday, “What truly distinguishes Macy is her disciplined approach to learning and patient care. She is a hard worker who remains focused, organized and motivated even when faced with the demanding responsibilities of a dental hygiene program.”
The Eichorn scholarship honors Arlene Eichorn, a longtime employee at CareArc’s predecessor, Flint Hills Community Health Center. It offers scholarships for Dental Hygiene and Licensed Practical Nursing students who demonstrate outstanding dedication, integrity and commitment to serving others.
