Since opening back in October, CareArc’s new on-site pharmacy has been plenty busy, according to Pharmacist in Charge Melissa Jackson on KVOE’s Morning Show Monday.
Jackson says they are very proud of the work done in recent months, noting the amount of logistical work that went into the pharmacy’s opening.
At this time, Jackson says the pharmacy has a staff of six, including herself as the only full-time pharmacist, one part-time pharmacist, three technicians and a clerk. Jackson says they are currently working to add another full-time pharmacist.
As mentioned, the pharmacy opened back in the fall and was, at that time, only serving CareArc’s 340B patients using cash for payments. Since that time, it has opened to the general public; however, Jackson says current patients are the ones who will generally receive the most benefits.
For those wishing to utilize the pharmacy, Jackson says there are a few important pieces of information they need to bring with them.
After considering the opening of the pharmacy for quite some time, CareArc sped up its plans back in 2024 following the closure of Graves Drugs. Pharmacy hours are 8:30 am to noon and 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday.
