The Emporia State tennis team started the spring portion of their schedule with a 7-0 victory over Kansas Wesleyan at the Kossover Family Tennis Center on Tuesday. ESU took the doubles point with easy wins at #2 and #3 doubles. Anton Sarunic led the charge with a win at #1 singles 6-0, 6-1 as the Hornets didn’t drop a set in six singles matches. The Hornets didn’t give up more than four games to the Coyotes in any of the singles contests. ESU returns will return to action Friday, February 13 on the road at William Jewell. The team will play an exhibition Sunday against Seward County CC.
