Emporia High has unveiled its football schedule for the 2026 season, a slate that features early road challenges, key Centennial League matchups, and a pair of home games to close the regular season.
The Spartans will open the year on the road Friday, September 4, traveling to Wichita North. Emporia’s home opener comes the following week at Welch Stadium against Wichita West. The longest trip of the season arrives in week three with a road game at Labette County before EHS returns home in week four to open Centennial League play against Junction City.
October begins with back-to-back road contests as the Spartans visit Washburn Rural and Manhattan. The regular season wraps up with consecutive home games, as Emporia will host Field Kindley before closing the year against Topeka.
Emporia High has also been assigned to the 5A West Football District by KSHSAA for the next two seasons. The Spartans enter 2026 looking to build momentum after finishing 2–7 in the first season under head coach Daniel Goodman.
