Burlingame boys basketball avenged a loss that ended their season last year by knocking off Clifton-Clyde in Clyde 47-41 on Monday in the first round of the 1aD1 playoffs.
The Bearcats held a 12-9 lead after one. Danny Cain beat the buzzer going into the to give Burlingame the 27-26 advantage. The Bearcats never trailed again and built 38-35 heading to the fourth.
Halftime adjustments were they key to the win for coach Stetson Carpenter.
