Emporia’s Southeast Transmission waterline replacement project continues pushing east at this time.
Work began Thursday at First and Exchange, closing that intersection through at least mid-March. First remains closed at Mechanic and Union, although it has reopened to traffic at Market.
The process will last through summer, bringing over 24,000 feet of new, larger water mains and well over 200 new service lines and other connections from 12th and Garfield to South and Peyton.
