Emporia Police say a body was found in downtown Emporia this past weekend.
Capt. Ray Mattas says a person was found dead near the 700 block of Commercial.
Mattas says there is nothing suspicious about the death. Officers are not confirming exactly where or when the body was found and whether the adult person was male or female, saying the department does not comment on death investigations.
