The application window for the annual Emporia Community Foundation Match Day later this year is now open.
The window opened on Tuesday and will remain open through March 31. Applicants must have an account with ECF, be a non-profit and have an operating budget of less than $175,000 in order to be eligible.
This year will mark the 13th Match Day, which Loni Heinen of ECF, who has been with the agency all 13 years, says has done far more than just raise money for numerous local groups and non-profits. She tells KVOE News it has also served as a spark for internal growth for many of those organizations.
New to the Match Day process this year will be Program Officer Sarah Barrett of ECF, who says the last five months in the office have been spent familiarizing herself with the ins and outs of the foundation.
As for Match Day, Barrett says she will be acting as the main point of contact for organizations looking to participate.
Those interested in participating in Match Day this year can find the application form by visiting EmporiaMatchDay.org. Match Day 2026 will be held from midnight to 11:59 pm on Monday, November 16th.
