Details are sparse after a Level 2 lockdown at Emporia Middle School on Tuesday.
Parents received a notice Tuesday afternoon about the school “briefly” going into the lockdown to handle an unspecified student issue.
The district uses Level 2 status to clear hallways and “keep the environment secure” as staff handle certain situations.
School administrators thanked teachers, students and staff for their work in adhering to district safety protocols.
