Olpe had their season end Friday at the Clifton-Clyde Sub-State Final with a defeat to Rural Vista 40-38.
Last year’s State Champions pitched a shutout and were up 6-0 after eight minutes. The Eagles exploded for 16 second quarter points and doubled up the Heat 22-11. RV used a 19-10 run to cut it to one possession after three. The Heat took their first lead of the game with 2:10 remaining, 37-36.
Brecken McGuire was the only player in double figures with 22 points.
