A high fire danger Monday leads to a severe weather chance Tuesday.
Fire danger will be elevated Monday, thanks to unseasonably warm temperatures around 80 degrees, relative humidity levels at or below 30 percent and drying grasses after recent rainfall.
For Tuesday, there is a slight severe risk for the evening hours, primarily for hail up to the size of quarters and gusts up to 60 mph. Tornado potential is low. There are still concerns about heavy rainfall and at least isolated flooding after up to 3 inches of rain Friday.
