On Monday, the final winter sports Emporia and Area Athletes of the Week were announced.
Sophia Hill earned the Emporia Athlete of the Week honor. She was the top bowler for the Lady Spartans, who claimed second at the State Meet last Thursday. She finished ninth with a score of 584.
Kaelyn Boss of Osage City is the Area Athlete of the Week. The sophomore helped lead the Lady Indians back to the State Tournament. She averaged 22.5 ppg, 6.5 steals, and 6 rpg in their two victories.
