Prairie Paws Animal Shelter is expanding its spay and neuter services — and it’s going mobile to do so.
Prairie Paws had a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new mobile spay and neuter trailer Thursday. Manager Bailey Estes says the Prairie Paws program is designed to help residents who may be struggling financially.
Estes says residents wanting to use the service need to go online to prairiepaws.org and apply — but there is “nothing invasive” about the application.
Estes says the plan is to have the trailer available twice a week beginning locally in April before expanding the coverage area.
