The Emporia State women’s tennis team picked up a 4-3 win over Ouachita Baptist at the Kossover Family Tennis Center in Emporia on Saturday. ESU picked up the doubles point with a sweep of all three matches. The Tigers won at #6 and #2 singles to take the lead in the duel, but Sheridan Wichman pulled E-State level with a 6-3, 6-4 victory at #3 singles. Giovanna Ferreira picked up a three-set win at #1 singles to put the Lady Hornets in front before Erin Cahill clinched the duel at #5 singles. ESU will play three times next week in Florida on their Spring Break trip beginning Tuesday with a duel against Angelo State.
