Several traffic lights in west Emporia are getting worked on Wednesday.
City Communications Manager Christine Torrens says the work zones are on Industrial at both 15th and 24th, as well as US Highway 50 at Graphic Arts. Torrens says work at 15th and Industrial will be a short project — less than 30 minutes — for one lane of traffic while repairs at the other two work zones may last from morning to afternoon.
Torrens says there will be delays and some signals may be dark for a period of time as work takes place on signal heads and traffic cameras. She says affected signals should be treated as 4-way stops until they are operational.
