An Osage City father and son are in custody in Osage County on charges of drug distribution following arrests Friday morning.
According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, the sheriff’s office executed a search warrant, related to narcotics, in the 1100 block of Laing Street in Osage City Friday at 9 am. The search led to the arrest of father and son Ricky D. Wright, age 68, and Caleb B. Wright, age 35, both of Osage City.
Ricky Wright was arrested on suspicion of two counts of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, three charges of distribution of meth, two counts of using a communication facility in the commission of a felony drug violation, two counts of possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia and two counts of unlawfully acquiring proceeds from a drug transaction. Caleb Wright, meanwhile, was apprehended on suspicion of two counts of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, two counts of meth distribution, two counts of possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia and two counts of unlawfully acquiring proceeds from a drug transaction.
Formal charges are pending at last word. Friday’s search followed a year-long investigation conducted by the Sheriff’s Office, according to Wells.
