Flint Hills Technical College recently ended one fundraiser and is in the final stages of planning for another.
The college raised over $1,200 for scholarships and other student needs as part of the Wranglers on the Rocks online silent auction last week. Events and Outreach Coordinator Stephanie Anderson says fundraising was up slightly from last year. She says the fundraiser helps to refocus everybody on campus towards the core goal of student success.
This builds the foundation for the upcoming Gala and Benefit Auction on April 24 at White Auditorium. Anderson says the event draws a lot of business interest, both in the fundraiser and the college mission.
The theme this year returns to the long-held theme of “Night of Inspiration.”
Tickets for the gala are on sale through the Foundation office at 620-341-7781 or by going online to fhtc.edu. Proceeds benefit scholarships and the Wrangler Student Relief Fund.
