A pair of Emporia State greats are heading into the MIAA Hall of Fame. Former national softball player of the year Miranda Campbell and national champion triple jumper Josh Honeycutt have been inducted into the MIAA’s Class of 2026. Campbell was a three-time All-American and earned National Player of the Year honors as a senior in 2010. She paced the Lady Hornet offense hitting .490 with 14 homers and 69 RBIs while slugging .903 with a .627 on base percentage. The Lady Hornets made four NCAA Tournament appearances in her career and were the national runners-up in 2008. Honeycutt won the men’s triple jump at the 2009 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships and was the national runner-up in 2011. He is the school record holder for both indoor and outdoor triple jumps and helped lead the Hornets to a fourth-place team finish at the 2011 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
