Lyon County commissioners have contracts and purchases as the main items for their action meeting Thursday.
Commissioners could well approve a funding agreement with the Kansas Department of Transportation, which recently announced $620,000 in funding to upgrade signs on all Lyon County’s rural roads as part of the state’s High Risk Rural Roads program.
Commissioners could also approve an annual service contract invoice of almost $57,000 to Election Systems & Software for county election equipment.
For purchases, Sheriff’s Office representative Tobey Kelly will present a request to buy a pickup from Longbine Auto Plaza for nearly $50,000, as well as well as three separate truck upfitting invoices totaling almost $40,000. County Engineer Wayne Scritchfield wil also present a request to buy a turbo kit for a dump truck at nearly $5,500.
The meeting starts at 9 am at the County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
