Three people were hurt and hospitalized after a wreck at Sixth and Prairie.
The wreck developed after two cars collided near the intersection. Patients were taken by ambulance to Newman Regional Health. Early indications are injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
Westbound traffic on Sixth and northbound traffic on Prairie were not affected by the wreck, although southbound traffic on Prairie was completely blocked and eastbound traffic on Sixth approaching the intersection was restricted to one lane for the medical response and crash investigation.
Updates are pending through Lyon County deputies. Emporia Fire/EMS and Emporia Police also responded.
