There’s still time for businesses, entrepreneurs and tourism officials to register for the Destination Marketing Summit on April 22 near Lyndon. There’s starting to be a crunch on space, however.
Economic development officials from Coffey and Osage counties joined KVOE’s Morning Show on Tuesday to highlight the event at The Ranch House Wedding Venue and Event Center in Lyndon. Coffey County Economic Development Director Jenny Tatman says there are a lot of benefits for attendees.
A lot of that has to do with the presence of Jon Schallert, an internationally-known marketing specialist.
Osage County Economic Development Director Colleen Mendoza says this is a good opportunity for small businesses in the area.
Mendoza says Schallert will go beyond helping businesses find their unique features, adding it could be a “transformational day” for those who attend.
The summit involves a regional collaboration between Coffey and Osage county economic development agencies, Anderson County Economic Development, Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce and NetWork Kansas. Cost is $35 for attendees from Coffey, Osage and Anderson counties and $50 for attendees from elsewhere.
