The woman who allegedly stole money from Mel’s Tire has pleaded no contest in her case.
Randee Lee Jones officially accepted a plea agreement involving felony theft of up to $100,000. A count of identity theft was dismissed. Sentencing is June 25.
With the plea, Jones could receive anywhere from 24 months probation to 34 months in prison. Jones has agreed to restitution for an amount agreed to in court.
Jones had been accused of taking up to $100,000 from the business, as well as impersonating owner DJ Eidman, between January 2022 and her arrest in October 2024.
