For the 42nd year, the working women of Emporia and the surrounding area had a night out thanks to KVOE, Emporia’s Radio Stations.
The annual Working Women After Hours event saw several hundred women pass through the doors of White Auditorium Thursday night to interact with various business vendors from across the area, sampling food, drinks and various services. KVOE Sales Manager Tim Miller, who says the station puts a lot of work into the event every year to give local ladies the best experience possible, calling it a true labor of love.
Miller has been involved with Working Women almost since the beginning, says more than just a night of fun for local women, the event is also a great way to give back to the station’s many sponsors.
As always, the event concluded Thursday night with the awarding of several prizes to attendees, including the grand prize, a personal hot and cold plunge tub courtesy of Jack’s Lawn and Pool.
The lucky winner of that package was Anita Munoz, who said hearing her name was quite the surprise.
