The Emporia State women’s tennis team dropped their rivalry dual 6-1 to #18 Washburn on Thursday at the Kossover Family Tennis Center in Emporia. Washburn swept through the doubles without dropping a set to take the doubles point. Carla Paul Piquer picked up a 7-5, 2-6, 1-0 (10-5) victory in a super tiebreak at #2 singles, but Washburn dominated the rest of the matches, winning without losing a set. The Lady Hornets return to action Friday, November 17 hosting Northwest Missouri.
