The Area and Emporia Athletes of the Week were announced Monday morning.
Brayden Lienemann of Southern Lyon County is the Area Athlete of the Week. The senior crushed three home runs in a sweep of Crest last Thursday. He finished the night with 13 RBI’s. He also earned the win in game one with a complete game, seven-strikeout performance.
Allie Weiss won the Emporia Athlete of the Week. The diver has won gold in all four meets this season. The senior took first in the Shawnee Mission North Invite last week.
