ABATE of Kansas had its annual Spring Fling Bike Show in Emporia on Saturday.
Among the featured components of the annual event is the award ceremony, which featured custom-designed trophies. Flint Hills Technical College welding student and Emporia native Lilli Stierwalt played an important role in the design/build process.
Stierwalt says “it’s pretty cool” to have this level of connection to ABATE and the event.
The trophies included spare parts from different shops. Stierwalt says there was a lot of effort to match the parts to the trophies for the different award categories.
Nearly 30 motorcycles were brought to the Lyon County Fairgrounds Anderson Building for the show, which also included several vendors.
