Emporia High baseball dropped both games in Topeka against Hayden on Tuesday.
The Wildcats took game one 4-1.
Hayden scored in the bottom of the first as they never trailed. Oliver Kline singled in Jackson Meinke in the fourth for the lone Spartan run.
Kline finished three for three.
Colton Eubanks took the complete game loss. He struckout nine Wildcats while giving up four runs, one was earned.
Game two went the way of Hayden 9-2.
The Wildcats wasted no time with two in the first. Hayden grew the lead to six after four. The Black and Red got both runs in the fifth. Kline singled in a run and Micah Gray grounded out to bring in a run.
EHS managed just two hits in the second game.
Gray suffered the loss in three innings with six runs given up.
Emporia falls below .500 at 5-7 (0-6) and returns home Friday hosting Topeka.
