Agbokpah Named 'The Association's' Track Athlete of the Week

Emporia State freshman sprinter Stella Agbokpah has been named the MIAA Women’s Track Athlete of the Week.  Agbokpah broke her own school record in the 200m dash last week finishing third at the Jo Meaker Classic hosted by West Texas A&M last week.  She later shaved a hundredth of a second off her 100m dash time which is also a Lady Hornet record.  Her 200m time, adjusted upward for altitude, is currently the third best in the nation and is the best time of the year in the MIAA.  E-State returns to the track on Thursday to host the rescheduled ESU Relays.  Collegiate events begin at 10:30 a.m. with the high school event set for Friday at the same time.
