US Marshals in Pennsylvania say they have arrested an Osage County man.
Marshals say they arrested Alen McNeil, age 34 of Scranton, in Bristol Township, northeast of Philadelphia, for alleged violations of the Kansas Offender Registration Act. The online Pennsylvania newspaper Levittown Now says McNeil’s arrest followed a law enforcement pursuit and resulting crash in Bristol Township. It also followed Kansas deputies’ attempts to interview McNeil about registration violations April 9, but he drove off, crashed, escaped despite a manhunt and fled the state.
A task force involving Marshals and Bristol Township’s Police Department K-9 unit handled the arrest.
McNeil has been on the state’s offender registry list since 2013 after being convicted in Shawnee County of indecent liberties with a child. The KBI says the registration currently expires in 2041. He was discharged from prison in 2019.
