Chase County softball is building momentum at the right time of the season.
Sitting at 12-8 overall, the Lady Bulldogs have won four of their last six games and currently hold fourth place in the 2-1A Regional 2 standings. With just three games remaining in the regular season, Chase County is finding its rhythm on both sides of the ball.
Head coach Linda Passmore says one of the biggest strengths of this year’s group has been the connection between players.
That chemistry has translated into steady production at the plate. The Lady Bulldogs feature four regulars batting above .380, led by Madelyn Wilson, who is hitting an impressive .446 with 25 RBIs. Passmore says the lineup has done a solid job of consistently putting runs on the board.
In the circle, Chase County leans on a young but reliable duo. Junior Natalie Neff and freshman Lahna Passmore have each surpassed 50 innings pitched this season, giving the Lady Bulldogs stability game after game. Passmore says the two bring different styles that complement each other well.
With the postseason approaching, Chase County will look to carry its recent success into the final stretch, beginning with a road trip to Burlingame on Thursday.
