Less than three weeks remain before the Lyon County History Center officially begins celebrating our nation’s 250th anniversary.
Director Emeritus Greg Jordan is looking forward to the History Center’s exhibit, “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness: Red, White and You.” There are special requests for community members as part of this effort.
Alongside with the History Center’s exhibit, the center will also host a traveling exhibit through Humanities Kansas.
Both exhibits will be available starting May 23. “Red, White and You” will be available to the public through Aug. 1. The traveling exhibit is at the History Center through June 21. The timing means both exhibits will be open for view during Unbound Gravel week. The History Center has become a hub of Unbound activities the last few years because it serves as the check-in location for the roughly 5,000 riders participating.
