The Emporia High baseball team couldn’t cross the plate in an 11-0 run-rule loss to Saint Thomas Aquinas at Soden’s Grove in Emporia on Saturday. The Saints score two in the second, three in the third, and two in the fourth to build their lead before landing the knockout blow in the sixth with four more runs. Aquinas only had five hits in the game but EHS was limited to just one and the Spartans committed two errors. Chase Harrington took the loss giving up three hits and five runs in 2.1 innings, but just one of the runs was earned. The Black & Red head to Wichita to face Wichita Southeast on Friday to end the regular season.
