USD 253 board members will discuss building needs among other topics at their regular meeting this week.
Board members will have a building-by-building look at facility needs after input from leadership teams, site councils, employees, parents and other community members. Perceived barriers, solutions and potential timelines for resolution will also be discussed.
Other business includes a recommendation to use Gordon CPA, LLC for audit services for the 2026-27 to 2028-29 audit years, a memorandum of understanding with ESSDACK for a virtual learning pathway, a 5-year facility use agreement with Emporia State University for using Welch Stadium and Zola Witten Track at a cost of $37,000 per year, technology replacement at a cost of over $530,000 and a first reading of board policy updates.
The meeting starts at 6 pm Wednesday at Mary Herbert Education Center.
