The Carnivore Cafe is reopening this week.
The cafe, staffed by clients of Hetlinger Developmental Services, will reopen for the season Wednesday at 11 am with a delicious menu that Hetlinger Director Tammy Maley hopes all residents will come out and enjoy.
A new addition to this year’s operations will be a set of local sponsors, according to Maley.
As mentioned, the cafe, located inside the David Traylor Zoo, will be staffed entirely by Hetlinger clients throughout the early to mid-summer. Maley says clients will be handling all duties, including serving and preparing food and cleaning up each day, providing important practical experience for those seeking longer-term employment opportunities in the future.
The cafe will now be open every Wednesday through Friday from 11 am to 1 pm until July 24th.
