KSHSAA handed out postseason assignments on Wednesday for area softball teams in 3A and 2-1A.
In 3A Regional 3, Osage City earned the four seed and will host Chaparral. Council Grove heads to Hesston in the eight-nine matchup.
Both games will be played on Tuesday, May 19. The semifinals and finals are scheduled for Thursday, May 21.
After the most wins in school history, Southern Lyon County was seeded third and opens with Burlingame in 2-1A Regional 2. Marais Des Cygnes Valley claimed the four seed and will host Lyon County League foe Northern Heights. Chase County took the five seed in the bracket after a 15-win campaign and will see Lyndon. Lebo-Waverly hits the road to Remington as the 11 seed.
All opening round games are scheduled for Monday, May 18. The semifinals and finals will both be played on Wednesday, May 20.
