Emporia senior diver Allie Weiss added another milestone to an already dominant season Thursday, breaking the EHS 11-dive record while capturing gold at the Centennial League Swim and Dive Meet in Topeka at Capitol Federal Natatorium.
Weiss posted a record-setting score of 535.75.
The record performance was another highlight in a season filled with gold medals for Weiss, who has finished first in every meet this year.
Setting the school record had been one of Weiss’ top goals entering the season. Now, the Emporia standout turns her focus toward the postseason and a chance to capture her third consecutive state championship. She’ll travel to Shawnee Mission School District Aquatic Center in Lenexa on Thursday, May 21 for prelims.
