Emporia High baseball completed the regular season with a sweep of Wichita Southeast on Friday in Wichita.
The Spartans scored in every inning in game one for the 10-0 victory.
Chase Harrington drove in two in the first with a triple. He was brought in on a ground out from Colton Eubanks. EHS added two more in the second off doubles from Caydrick Crouch and Grady Howe. After back-to-back errors in the third Jackson Meinke cleared the bases with a double. Emporia added two in the fourth and one in the fifth.
Micah Gray did it all with three hits and earned the victory going 4.2 innings with eight strikeouts.
The Spartans scored late in a 10-2 game two win.
Both teams scratched across a run in the opening frame. Howe tripled and scored on an error to get EHS on the board. The Spartans trailed 2-1 heading to the fifth. Howe doubled in a run to tie it and the Black and Red took the lead for good on a passed ball and broke the game open with a six run sixth.
Oliver Kline and Gray each drove in two. Howe had a team high two hits.
Grayson Combes scattered seven hits in the complete game win.
Emporia sits at 12-12 and finds out their regional pod on Saturday.
