Blustery conditions are in store through much of the weekend on top of an increasing risk of severe storm activity.
A wind advisory has been issued for Lyon and all surrounding counties from 9 am to 9 pm Sunday. South winds could range from 20 to 35 mph throughout the day, with some isolated gusts up to 50 mph at times.
On top of the wind threat, there will be the potential for a pair of rounds of severe storms Sunday and Monday. Sunday currently has the KVOE listening area in a marginal risk for strong thunderstorms, with the greatest threats being large hail and damaging winds.
Monday then brings an enhanced all-hazards risk to the area from the late afternoon to early evening time period along a cold front. Stay with KVOE, KVOE.com and KVOE social media for weather updates as warranted into the upcoming work week.
