Regardless of what the future may hold for them, graduates of the Flint Hills Technical College 2026 spring class were told their futures are bright.
Ahead of the annual commencement ceremony Saturday afternoon, FHTC President Dr. Caron Daugherty spoke with KVOE News and explained that the future is so bright for these young people largely because the need for their skills is large.
Daugherty adds that their students will also be uniquely prepared to adapt to the ever-changing workforce landscape, thanks to the attention to detail the college demonstrated when developing its curriculum.
Offering special comments during Saturday’s graduation was Dental Hygiene student Alissa Failes, who says her journey was challenging, but well worth it.
In her remarks to her classmates, Failes encouraged them not to try to be perfect, but to just be the best versions of themselves.
This year, FHTC had nearly 400 graduates attain their various degrees and certificates, with 250 participating in Saturday’s ceremony.
