An Emporia man was taken to Newman Regional Health for medical care after a wreck Sunday morning.
Lyon County Deputy Curtis Morse says authorities and rescue personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Roads 170 and N shortly before 6 am, finding an SUV with heavy front-end damage and one person, 25-year-old Wilmer Sanchez Garcia, inside the vehicle. Morse says Sanchez Garcia was apparently eastbound on Road 170 when he went left of center for unlisted reasons, left the road to the north and hit a cement wall.
Sanchez Garcia was wearing his seatbelt and had suspected minor injuries afterward. Deputies are still investigating.
