Emporia High soccer ended their season Thursday in Wichita as the Lady Spartans fell to Bishop Carroll 7-0 in the Regional Championship.
Bishop Carroll broke through with 25 minutes remaining in the first half to take a 1-0 lead before adding two more goals in quick succession with 18 and 17 minutes left to build a 3-0 advantage. The Golden Eagles added another score with nine minutes remaining before halftime to carry a 4-0 lead into the break.
In the second half, Bishop Carroll kept their foot on the gas adding another three goals.
The Black and Red finish 11-7 and won their first regional game since 2009.
